Living in a world where the words ‘Deep Feminine Wisdom’ stand for and spread a new perspective on life, with the feeling values that reflect and support that different worldview.
This invites the emergence of a new level of consciousness where the deepest instincts of the heart in both men and women – compassion, inclusivity, listening and a longing to protect, heal and make whole – find expression in ways that may be described as devotion to all forms of life.
This asks us to become protective of the whole of creation, relinquishing all the divisive ways of looking at life and each other, and manifesting as a new planetary awareness that recognises the interconnection and interdependence of all aspects of life.
The arrogant celebration of “man’s conquest of nature” is being replaced by the realization that we need to respect, safeguard and cherish the planetary life of which we are a part. This planetary consciousness has radically different aims and values from those reflected in the current worldview. We tread a path that is on the knife-edge between birthing this new vision on the one hand and social disintegration and regression into barbarism – perhaps the virtual annihilation of our species – on the other.
We know that birthing this new vision offers a tremendous challenge but we feel that with the help of women and men all over the planet, it can be achieved. The leading world religions, which developed many hundreds of years ago, reflect a patriarchal perspective that has led to the growth of power structures, misogyny and endless wars. Nevertheless each of these traditions also contains a mystical strain that offers universal non-political and even non-hierarchical teachings and practices, serving to show the sameness of pure Spirit at the core of them all.
These essential truths, as well as the richness of deep feminine wisdom, are becoming the basis for a growing new spirituality.
This is a world wide inspiration, a change in the collective human consciousness by the attraction of its unconventional intelligence and compassionate actions that serve the world and all its creatures. It is emerging driven by the challenges of our time – man-made environmental, financial and societal crises – whereby human beings are ruining the planet to such an extent that we may become extinct.
The option is to become the possible humans we all have within us. This natural coalition is drawn together by the recognition that the elevation of consciousness is our fundamental life work.
This is the condition of or our humanity. This is why we’re here.
It is a genuinely democratic, self-organising power, flowing through persons of all descriptions, women and men together, all cultures, all walks of life. It is found in a woman sweeper of streets in Bangladesh and in the presence and discourses of the Dalai Lama.
It is exquisitely demonstrated in human service endeavours, for example where people take hands and centre themselves before going out to work with gangs in East Chicago.
This power does not flourish as any highly structured form. It is not an institution or a foundation or a religion or anything conventionally named. This coalition is a living organism — natural, free and developing from the ground up. It is made up of individuals devoted to serving the world and developing themselves as finely-tuned instruments of service.
They learn to gather in the energy of will-to-good, from which authentic goodwill flows out subtly to the entire world.
